WHAT'S BEHIND THAT DOOR IN OLD SAN JUAN?

ABOUT

In October 2015 I wrote a story for my blog about a very well known door in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The door itself is approximately 10ft. tall and attached to one of Old San Juan's historic, 300+ year old spanish-colonial buildings. A well-known tourist destination and photo-op due to being beautifully painted by a local artist with the Puerto Rican flag, with permission from the owner I was able to venture into the building and capture some very intriguing images. The building itself is uninhabited and consisted of actual plant life, trees and various foliage growing inside. The story went viral on Facebook and cumulated with an interview and feature story with Univision Puerto Rico. The original story on my blog can be seen at http://www.lenadelsol.com/blog/puertoricoflagdoor
